The Project
Queensland biotech company Vaxxas develop and manufacture needle-free vaccines with “world-leading” technology. Founded by the University of Queensland commercialisation company UniQuest in 2011, Vaxxas has received $30m through the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) to support pandemic deployment of their high-density micro-array patch (HD-MAP).
Vaxxus Laboratories require high quality air systems throughout their facility and have selected GJ Walker to be their partner, supplying a combination of 25 ASH and Multizone AM air handling units (AHUs).
Manufactured with complete AHRI certification, these double skin units have a stainless steel inner lining as part of the hygienic requirements, EC plug fans, plenums with built in G4 and F8 filters, service lights that are fitted and wired to an isolator, heating and cooling coil coatings and UV lights.
